::::::Blown Head Gasket....Need Advice:::::?

Dude, 500 bucks is good money for any mechanic to do the job on the side. You are talking 100 for parts maybe and the other 400 for him to pocket. Put an ad on craigslist about your problem and see who can help you fix it. Head gaskets are actually easy to do, you just have to have the right tools and some good memory of where things went. Be resourceful. Don't waste your money on cheap sealers because they actually do more damage than good. Can you imagine what something would do to your water pump and inside of your hoses if it can seal a head gasket? Probably more bad than good. I'm a mechanic and if I lived by you I would definately help you out for way cheaper than 1500 bucks. Anyone in the biz has connections with parts guys and can save you a lot money when you cut out the middleman (the shop).
