Why do some cheesecake recipes say to use egg whites, some say full eggs and some none at all?? Difference?

I'm baking a cheesecake tonight! But if I weren't making a baked one I would not put eggs in it purely to be on the safe side as raw eggs are a bit dodgy. There are some really good recipes out there for non-baked - good luck and I hope it turns out yummy!
