What to do about little black ants crawling up the foundation outside of my house?

My husband used Diazanon(spelling?) in pellet form around our home's foundation. He has used it for 3 years since we had a carpenter ant problem that developed. Ever since,they have not come back. It keeps other spiders and insects away too. Good luck with it!
