How to find a lost Ipod?

Well, the way it sounds is it seems like somebody from the open house took it :/ Now that may not have happened. Try putting up posters around your neighborhood and see if you can get in touch (pardon my pun) with anybody who was at the open house and ask if they've seen it. Good luck finding it!
