Why are people upset that a Texas kindergartner brought a gun to school and discharged it?

I highly doubt the NRA (or ANYONE for that matter) supports allowing children to take handguns to school. Besides, I don't think having a sign that says "Gun Free Zone" would have stopped the kid from doing it.
