Need help from fellow indians regarding a marriage crisis?

so i'm 23 year old punjabi guy situated in canada, who just completed my post-secondary education and now I am in the next phase of life. When I was about 8 or 9, i was promised by my parents that they would make a selection of about 5 or 6 potential indian wives by now and then I would go from there and choose which one to marry. Quite to my surprise however, i found out recently they haven't even scratched the surface as far as on the lookout for a possible bride for me. I don't want to search for a bride by myself, as I don't get out much (which is perfectly complacent by me) and I love to stay indoors and whenever I'm outdoors i'm usually in a forest or an empty, desolate field. So, my question would be...are my parents lazy or is it that they feel indifferent about the whole situation and don't think i'm ready for marriage yet?
